Oooooh this is SUPER lovely! 🔥🔥🔥 Kristoph's characterization is exquisite - he's so angry and offended about being replaced, but he's trying so hard to act unbothered and professional. I'm going through his lines one at a time to tease out what is true and what he actually believes, and what's just meant as a reassuring fairy tale for Klavier. Saying that Phoenix is a gimmick is especially clever! I get the feeling Kristoph doesn't believe it himself, but it will 100% look that way to Klavier after Phoenix uses the forged evidence the next day. Love the tension between what he shows Klavier and what's stewing in his head!
And then. . . “I wanted my first time to be with you." ASJDHFGAJKDFG OMG! One more thing for Kristoph to weigh 👀🤩
Love the push and pull here - Klavier making doe eyes while saying suggestive things, Klavier inching closer and touching his thigh, and Kristoph feeling just as strongly but showing it in completely different ways. I love the contrast between them - Klavier shows his love more brashly, while Kristoph shows it through schemes and plots, and by pulling strings in his trial. And yet—they're still similar deep down, in wanting victory and in wanting each other. "Klavier had learned well from observing him, albeit applying it differently." YES this is exactly them, right there! Different on the surface but the closer you look the more alike they become 🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖
". . .that first trial where he was blooded, sharpened his teeth, found his place in the legal world" 💖 LOVE the rhythm and sound of that line!
