Yeah, pulling a Mordecai is one of the worst things that never should be done by the fans of Cartoon Network. Because while Mordecai is a good character, his love life sucked so hard that even people had to add his name as a slang in a dictionary, it's the worst kind of humiliation ever.
It really does say something that for the epilogue they had to make a whole new character for him to meet and eventually fall in love with for a relationship for the guy to be reasonable. Where as every other character from the park had people they had fallen in love with during the course of the show romantic wise outside of pops who is like a big kid so makes sense for him not to have a romantic partner.
