alskdjfa ok so thank you so much for your reply to my last comment! I'm actually way ahead in the story now (finishing up jeager academy) because i cant for the life of me stop reading (T▽T) but i /had/ to come back to this chapter because its so fucking good??? i-
I /love/ how you wrote their drifting sO mUCh. Starting off small, with very brief cutscenes of memories and then gradually getting more and more detailed and long, until they finally stumble upon the RABIT, which we KNEW was coming because its such a crucial and intense memory- But also, i love that you're so....vague? with the memories? that might not be the best way to describe it- what i mean is- you never mention who's memory it is, so you have to just get it from context. Instead of writing, say, "Lelouch opened his eyes" it's "He opened his eyes" and so who is "he"? WELL THATS THE FUN OF IT. thats /exactly/ what drifting is!! I love that your story is so immersive and you do such a good job of depicting the process of drifting. Especially once they start to chase the RABIT, it's like they've truly meshed together, because we're seeing the same scene from both of their perspectives simultaneously. AND ITS JUST SO GOOD.
This chapter was such an emotional rollercoaster. Also coming back to it from my point later on in the story is making me tear up- but that's a comment for a later chapter haHA. I just. love all the tension. I was on the metaphorical edge of my seat because i was so excited for suzaku to finally realize that lelouch is actually zero. but i /knew/ there was going to be a lot of anger and hurt. and just. the fact the reveal happened while they were drifting instead of, you know, just having a normal conversation about it??!?! Oh i want to say more! but i wont litter your comments with spoilers for future chapters.
I...im sorry, i hope you dont mind, im going to post a couple more comments in other chapters after this-
