    They really do have so many lingering issues to address! They'll get there!

    That's a question that REALLY depends on how strict you are and your comfort level! For me personally, I could never keep any treyf (forbidden under kosher laws) food in the house for another person, because they'd still contaminate the cooking appliances and it would be too much of a hassle to have to deep-clean the oven and microwave after every time they're used for that food. I could see some families being okay with it, but keeping treyf food at all is just very difficult in a kosher kitchen (you'd need a separate set of kitchen utensils for that food to make sure Ed doesn't accdidentally eat off them, or just use disposable tools, too) - I'm not even super strict with keeping kosher but it's just a logistical nightmare!
