Indeed, the main IDW story has been going on in the background; aside from the Chaotix running into Gizmo and Starline making an earlier appearance, the canonical plot hasn't really changed much just yet. I have a general idea of where I want this to go up to Issue 50, but as I've said before, I'm re-reading the series (thank you collection hardcovers and paperbacks for including the mini-series as well) to refresh myself. For now, though, there is the current arc and some of the potentially far-reaching ideas there to focus on.
One has to consider the consequences of the gang knowing about Starline earlier than in the original story. At the same time, no one aside from the readers know where he's operating from, so if he keeps to the shadows, he's safe for the time being. However, depending on the actions of our protagonist and the rest of the heroes, a certain event during this arc might go rather differently. Well, perhaps more than just that one, which I'm keeping vague because of accidentally spoiling things in the past.
