    HOLY MOLY this is so so so so so good and is just so promising - i've been hoping someone would write a new moana adventure fanfiction with a heavy base of research - i was going to do it myself, except i had no inspiration - and THIS IS SO GOOD. it's amazing. i'm so, so excited.

    some of the formatting is weird, certain paragraphs don't have a full space between them. e: whoops i guess it didn't my bad!!! also this line, was it intentional? "And like myself and a few mothers,"

    and this line: "He’s not very good at letting things god"

    man the moana/maui interaction is sOOOO cute and well-written and i love how attached maui is to moana and how much he worries, and his fear that one day he'll come back and moana won't be there. it's come up in several other moana fics already. it'll probably become a fandom cliche but it's also a headcanon i can totally get behind because it's so sweet and sad and UGHHH. i'm also glad this is genfic (at least, so far, right?) because most fic in the archive is moana/maui shipping which i feel a lil iffy about (although i've read all of them)

    seriously this is so good and i'm so excited to see what it'll become!!! i love them way you're introducing more mythology to the story without having walls of unengaging exposition. i could do with getting a little more inside moana's head, in the way you've gotten inside maui's. you're doing a good job already but i hope to see more of her hopes and fears and just feelings in general about everything!

    fav line - “Fish-face came to see you? What the hell?”

    i love maui and this is so cute ugh he's so shocked and like...concerned...and it's great, "fish-face" that's so in character i love
