Comment on Welcome to the Church of Null

  1. Your tags call to me like crystals of crack call to an addicted nose; I have no choice but to come and indulge.

Shipposting aside, I’m already super interested in this setting and premise. I haven’t seen a full church setting done but once before, and the setup here is already phenomenal.

The faith of the solver to enjoy the moment and celebrate life is something I can actually see people gather for and believe in. It sounds like a legitimate faith, and it makes the entire sermon and the following activities feel right. The celebration masking the funeral is such a great way to show that too, literally burying the grief in celebration and happiness to give just one more happy memory to cling to and not sully the deceased with sadness.

N himself feels perfect as a pastor, and with a faith like this he really does feel like he’s someone spectacular in his place, which helps the envelope feel even more authentic since we SEE him perform to the caliber that he’s complimented for. And the fact that he cares so much for those he’s helped that he hesitates to take the offer of a lifetime just seals that for me.

Fuck this is good, my condolences on having 9 running long fics at once but I can’t say it surprises me LOL
