Wow, these two really did just sail past their breaking point and keep digging. It hurts to watch. Very curious how any of the things happening in the latter half of this chapter translate into physical reality, even if it ultimately doesn't matter (no matter what the rest of the world sees, it'll still be wiped away).
Interesting decision that even though Loop apparently has been actively helping, our first chapter after that decision is not from their perspective and does not directly show their efforts.
