sounds like you plan to properly explore Pre-Leo fusion and how the HELL an ENTIRE DIMENSION would willingly jump on the genocidal multiversal conqueror bandwagon just because a complete stranger from out of nowhere ASKED them.
some fanfic writers say that Fusion was a war-torn shithole dimension LONG before Leo even got there (the Asshole sadist precursor humans that caused Z-ARC to go misanthrope had to go SOMEWHERE when Ray split the dimensions, and Leo couldn't have possibly been the ONLY precursor to reincarnate in one of Ray's dimensions exactly the same with a blank slate). and that Leo swooped in and made everyone's lives better, making them eternally grateful to him while also falling into his thrall because who in their right mind would betray their savior? they'd all been living in an endless war for so long that they'd grasp at any ray of hope (no pun intended) thinking that anything was better than what they are going through now, and it makes them desperate for a "Utopia" because otherwise, they wouldn't buy what Leo was selling since their world was doing just fine the way it was currently.
and Leo would even use Synchro (which was an unsalvagable shithole LONG before Roget entered the picture) as an example for why the other dimensions MUST be under Academia's reign "For their own good", as well as misleading the Fusionites in thinking that Heartland and Maiami are the same under the surface (which in XYZ's case, couldn't be further from the truth as from what we saw, there was NOTHING wrong with XYZ pre-academia, you could even argue that it represented a REAL utopia that Academia THINKS they are creating)
