    Minor complaint: Searching TYBW in tags will bring you to this fic because of the No TYBW tag. Not really author’s fault, but I was excited for a second there

      Apologies. I didn't know that, though I probably should have, because I've gone through somewhat similar things with other tags. Where AO3 puts together tags that say Past 'x ship' with those that have the ship in the actual fic. Among other things.

      Like I say in my notes. I did have a plan at one point for TYBW but 1) it got too insane for my tastes (and too confusing there at the end) and 2) some of the worldbuilding introduced there just didn't fit with my story, so in the end it was easier to throw the arc out wholesale.

      If you decide not to read the fic I'll be sorry, but still hope you find what you're looking for.

        Its likely I’ll read it someday. Its just not what I want to read rught now. Which is a character study style story set during or eventually leading to TYBW. Absolutely nothing agains Your fic. Just frustrated I gotta keep looking.

          I understand, I think I've only ever read one, maybe two fics that went into TYBW, one was post it, and I don't remember it being finished, actually. What I remember of it seemed almost like a study of grief, particularly with individuals who live so long most of them don't know how to react at first to all the deaths, and especially to the deep consequences of those friends/family/loves having died by Quincy weapons. The other one was actually a time-travel, so the TYBW was mentioned as something that had happened in another world and Ichigo was working hard to prevent ever coming... I remember there being a lot of Aizen, and prevent him going insane, which I found a bit off-putting actually.

          Anyway, like I said, I hope you'll find what you want to read. It's so frustrating when you really want something and it's nowhere to be found. Best of luck!

            I have that desire to write my own fanfiction but whenever I do that my ADHD inevitably leads me to abandon it and I hate doing that to the readers who enjoy my stories.

              Yeah... there's a reason why I stopped posting unfinished fics. after I had to declare three of them Discontinued... I hated doing it so much. Took me forever to accept that I was truly never gonna writing the rest of it.

              Maybe you could try writing it for yourself and only posting it if you manage to finish? Or you could always submit it for the EAD (Evil Author's Day) it's the norm for unfinished works to be posted there, so your readers would be prepared ahead of time. Just a suggestion.
