Angron was sad because deep down he never want Guilliman to understand him and his pain. To never have to live as half dead man. I want to believe that he like Guilliman a little more then in canon. Thet maybe yes Roboute was annoying, boring and perfekt, but he was there trying to understand him. And Angron feel some close emotion to him. Oh its pains me to read it. My eyes are blind by tears, because I can feel sadness, the anger and the death. Angron tried to teach Guilliman in only way he could via fight. He didn't want Guilliman to die by the hands of different brother. The few next chapters will be even more pain. Roboute seeing brother that he loved more then he want becoming a beast will only weight on him more in the future. Oh how sad Angron story is. How great o character he could have been. Bet he never had a chance. Butchers Nails took it from him. And now he is just a beast. Does it have enough awareness to know what kind of beast it has become? Does it suffer more? Or is it simply an empty shell and Angron has long since disappeared from it?. Oh you know how to make me cry and overthink about Warhammer, Roboute and Angron since the morning when I just got up.
