Comment on Jealousy (Is a Powerful Motive)

  1. Hi wow okay you absolutely put more thought than I have bc I'm running off the good feelings the idea gave me and my love of the fandom plus one video that made me consider how being in America would and could actively change how some of the Gods behave.

Oh Poseidon is going to be angry. That's his kid, one that he's proud of and loves as much as he's allowed to in the moment. Especially because it's pretty obvious to most that this is his child. He's just been claimed by another and it's frustrating. All of Percy's deeds, everything he's accomplished, isn't going to be like. 'Perseus Jackson, the son of Poseidon-' instead it's 'Perseus Jackson, Hera's Champion, slayer of Medusa, fought Ares, retrieved the Master Bolt'- but also Poseidon can't do much. Angering Hera when Zeus is already pissed at him isn't the best idea. Basically it's almost like a constant custody battle for them I think. We'll see.

I would give him a different friend group, but I won't lie I literally just got my books back. I would have to go through the first and second series (I don't have the third yet) and see what I can do, which would slow my updates even further than before. I am thinking of making him a bit closer to the Hermes Cabin and Apollo Cabin? Hermes because like. They take in those who have nowhere else and treat them as family, and Apollo is pretty close. It's like getting the warm and fuzzies from seeing it, idk yet.

And he's absolutely gonna be pissed at Annabeth. If I'm seeing things correctly, Hera has some decent control over the weather specifically. Instead of giving Percy the entirety of the skies, her blessing and influence has just made the 'Child of the God of Storms' thing a bit more powerful than it would have been before.

for now though my biggest dilemma is what Hera's claim would even look like we'll see

    1. Hehe sorry if I went on a bit of a spiel there. I’ve seen so many of those “Percy gets betrayed” or “becomes guardian of the hunt” stories over the years that when I see a something with an interesting plot I get really into it.

Fair enough on the whole book thing. At this point the franchise has gotten pretty huge and I can’t say I’ve kept up with all of it myself. The idea of different friends kinda comes from how often I’ve seen someone write a story with a different premise just for it unfortunately to end up being a complete retread of canon. Keeping Annabeth and Grover could work just fine as well as it certainly gives you a foundation to base whatever you do with the characters on yourself.

Either way I look forward to whatever comes next! And if you ever wish to bounce some ideas back and forth feel free to hit me up!
