    Oof. I'm glad he saved Sam of COURSE, but a kid isn't going to just be fine after shooting something that looks like a human.

      I actually feel like I dropped the ball a bit with this incident, and it's something I want to kind of fix both when I go back to edit these two stories as well as maybe when I write the third one. It's definitely something I wish I had explored more, and instead it kinda got buried under the intense trauma umbrella Liam has where there's just so much trauma, it's like... how do you pick the stuff that sticks with him and the stuff that doesn't matter so much? Ugh. This kid is complex.
