    I'm glad you like my takes on Jason and Piper.

    I wanted Percy's disappearance to affect Annabeth more.

    Her relationship with Jason is different than her first meeting with Percy. She was curious about Percy, and the way she teased him was just a way to show affection while staying in control, so he wouldn't hurt her and she wouldn't get attached, because "they're supposed to be enemies"

    With Jason she's mad she is saddled with this guy, who could be dangerous, instead of rescuing Percy.
