    I haven't even read it yet, but as soon as I saw the hashtag I decided to answer right away because some people have this question and I'll end up forgetting to answer lol.

    To summarize, Ei is known as Baal and not as Beelzebub because no one knows that Ei and Makoto are two different Goddesses.

    Okay, let's go, this will take a while. Ei and Makoto fought together in the Archon War and together they won it in the territory of Inazuma, but only one of them could be the Electro Archon, so Ei, thinking that her sister would be a better leader and ruler than her, sacrificed herself so that Makoto could receive the gnosis and become the Archon of Inazuma. However, somehow that was not explained in the lore, Makoto managed to revive her sister and so Ei became her shadow, her warrior, fighting in her place to protect Inazuma from the shadows. As far as it was shown, only a few Yokai and trusted friends knew that the Goddess who fought against the enemies of Inazuma was not Baal but Beelzebub, that is, the citizens of Inazuma did not know that they were two different Goddesses. So after the events of the Cataclysm, where Makoto died, Ei took over her position as Electro Archon, but the people of Inazuma don't know about it, from what it seems.

      oh my gosh THANK YOU SO MUCH! I figured it was because she took her sister's place but I was so confused when AO3 showed her name as Baal. I spent like an hour making sure I had my genshin lore LOLOLOLOL. Thank you so much, I never even thought about Ganyu's place in all this BUT that makes so much sense!! ❤️❤️
