Oh my gosh how have I missed ANOTHER update?? What is wrong with my algorithms?? 😂
Anyway, this was absolutely ADORABLE! The way you describe Omega and Benni waiting on each other, making each other laugh, thinking the other is beautiful and getting lost in their eyes—it’s all too sweet, I feel like cavities are forming in my mouth. Multiple times you had me giggling and kicking my feet with just how innocent and precious these two are. Their feelings are so new but so pure, and even shadowed by a bit of angst from both sides. Their dynamic is still forming, but I very much like how smoothly they interact with each other, even when they’re nervous.
And then Cal absolutely SHATTERING it at the end, poor boy didn’t mean to but still, dang. That was rough. I’m glad Omega isn’t holding it against him, though, and that he won’t let his little mistake keep him from seeing her. They’ll figure things out eventually, and they’ve got time to do so! :)
Wrecker reacting emotionally to Omega’s first date was such a nice touch. Him always knowing her as the baby, and now the baby’s growing up 🥺 and then Crosshair! 100% he’s the most protective of Omega, and it’s hilarious to watch that play out. Him waiting outside and watching everything on their date go down was very in-character, I think. A sniper, indeed. It’s giving “no one’s good enough for my daughter” 😂 but I especially liked how Crosshair thinks of not deserving to watch these tender moments with Omega because of what he’s done, and as much as they hurt, he’s grateful he gets to see them anyway. Just. Ugh. Tears. I love their bond so much.
I understand you’re busy, so it’s totally okay, but now I don’t want to wait for the next chapter! This is such a great fic and I’m eager to see what comes next :)

They really are so sweet and innocent, and I really wanted to lean into that in this chapter- they just adore each other in the simplest ways! Yes they are of course still nervous, but feel comfortable enough to at least have a decent conversation. And they have a lot to talk about, which helps!
Yeah, poor Cal has some trauma that still gets in his way. But they still enjoyed the date, and they still want to be around each other, and that's what counts! It's a slow burn about a Jedi and a clone, I can't make it too easy for them to get together!
Yes, Wrecker's emotions are SO important to me!! His feelings get ignored a good bit in the fandom sometimes...but not by me! And yes, Crosshair was very much the sniper in this chapter hehe- he of course is like "no way I'm watching her date" but then the date starts and he can't take his eyes off of it 😂. And yes, it was so satisfying to put Crosshair in this situation, because of all the factors you listed: his protectiveness, apprehension about her dating/growing up, and hints of remorse that come out of his love for her. Crosshair almost has a form of survivor's guilt, I think- out of all the Batch, he's the only one that doesn't feel like he's earned the life he's living, and I REALLY like playing with that idea. I love their bond, too, and I'm so glad you feel that he's in character! It was my first time writing his pov so I was a little nervous!
I'm so happy you're enjoying this, and I really appreciate your kind words! Honestly, life does have me really busy right now but also...lately I've been carried away with a completely different fandom 😅. So in the times I have had to write during this month, I've been writing for that because the brain worms wouldn't have it any other way! And I actually feel a little bad because anyone could read the last chapter note on this chapter and then look at my page and see it's obvious that I've been making time to write and post something completely unrelated to TBB and this fic. But hyperfixations don't play by the rules 😂. And I needed a breather after I posted this chapter (I wrote, edited, and posted it in two weeks, give or take). So honestly, I haven't had a ton of motivation to work on this because of that, and I really don't have a ton of extra free time this month, anyway. But your comment has inspired me to at least start inching my way forward on the next chapter! Sorry for all the details- you've been here since the beginning so I thought I'd give you an update. And sorry if this paragraph disappoints- writing is my hobby, so if I've got tons of interest and motivation for a certain project, I'm going to put my energy towards that, and I'm honestly having a blast working on some non-Star Wars stuff right now. But I definitely have not forgotten about my little rare pair here!
