Interesting. So the basic premise is that Lavender was an American orphan girl named who had read the Harry Potter books, believing they were just fiction like everyone else did. Then all of she wakes up as Lobelia Prince, a witch who comes from a pureblood wizard family. It's apparent that the real Lobelia died and Lavender took her place. Why? We don't know.
I find it interesting that Lobelia's parents are virtually the opposite of the Malfoys, in that the mother is the one who is domineering and controlling while the father is weak yet obedient. I felt for Lobelia upon learning that she will be forced to marry someone she's never met and doesn't even love. But the biggest shock so far is learning that she's related to Serverus Snape. I wonder how it's going to go when they finally meet in person.
Great opening chapter! I'll try to read more in the future.
