    This story has been so thematically perfect!! I love the idea of Loki embracing his nature and becoming like a jester - one who challenges authority for the good of the people

      Thank you so much.

      I will admit what I usually end up doing in this fics is pushing Loki more in the direction of the Loki I grew up with.

      Which is from an entirely different comic book series, here from Denmark called. "Valhalla." and created by a guy called Peter Madsen.

      However, the Loki in THAT comic book is far closer to Norse mythology, and the last thing he would ever want is a throne, because yuck, that would mean responsibility, gross.

      Also Sif is Thor's wife in mythology and the comics I grew up with, so in my head... they are ALWAYS the end game in terms of relationships, she's supposed to be his wife lol.

      Still yeah, I think it fits thematically both for the movies and of course by fic that Loki's role is DIFFERENT from Thors.

      And he is first going to be able to find peace when he embraces it, what he is, that is so incredibly different from Thor and Odin.
      But also incredibly needed in the world, because total order is also what we call. "Authoritarianism." or well... Dictatorship.

      Heck what Nazism and Fascism truly is, is this wish for perfect order in society and creating Utopia that way, that is though oppressive.

      Like Odin says to Loki, though, it's a matter of balance.

      Total order is oppressive.
      But total chaos brings far too much uncertainty and death. And the two indeed need to push back constantly at each other.

      And so, with Thor representing order and Loki representing Chaos, they are opposites of each other, but in NEED of each other to be the best they can be.

      So I do like writing them as those opposites.

      My emphasis is on Thor being the heart and Loki being the pragmatist.

      And once again, they need each other to be better.
