          He's trying his best but Valjean is terribly stubborn :( tbf I have this idea in mind about him being the most stubborn person ever when it comes to being cared for, and once he had made up his mind about something the only person that can get him to rethink his decision is probably Cosette (or Javert when their relationship is actually established and not this v blurry tentative pre relationship thing) but rn they do not possess that influence over the other lols

              The fun part for me is that the pair of them r both terrible patients (valjean will be a slightly better caretaker but that's it) hahahahahahaha both of them get to play the difficult stubborn patient
