Love a good bit of Eclipse angst, keeps the soul humble. He needs to understand that his actions have consequences and he needs to think better about how he approaches people in the future.
Though I had a thought, what if the reason neither Eclipse or Lunar heard the door open was because Sun opened it during some of the yelling and just stood there frozen, waiting to see how Lunar would react and only stepping in once he knew Lunar wouldn't kill Eclipse. Like he couldn't bring himself to take the decision out of Lunar's hands for how he'd deal with his abuser. That would be something, Sun might end up holding onto some guilt for not stepping in sooner and letting Eclipse get hurt
