    Maybe the tokens could help stabilize them, but unknown to Sonic, it also strengthens their imprisonment in Cyber Space. It could be connected to the Challenge Gates, maybe they're leaks of their memories that materialize in the real world

    I can already smell a Mogul cameo in the flashbacks

      While that is a cool idea, I'm afraid I'm still going to be removing them for the sake of pacing. The gears, keys, and emeralds will be enough to keep track of as is.

        Alright. What about the seeds? Those are a bit more important since they're key to interact with the Elder Koco, unless you'll also change how the interactions with the Hermit and Elder Kocos go

          Elder Koco will be the same.

          I'll probably make some adjustments to Hermit Koco, or maybe only summarize Sonic's encounter with him as I think Archie Sonic doesn't need much upgrading in terms of power or durability from the seeds; they're also another aspect that is only interesting for a player and would be boring to read about Sonic collecting. Maybe I'll mention he's collecting them but not show it, we'll see.

                Oh and actually he wasn't there. In a conversation with Sage, it's revealed that the Big, Sonic's been fishing with is a recreation created in Cyber Space

            Oh! What if the seeds had a connection to the Power Rings?

            Since Power Rings are by-products of the Chaos Emeralds, it would make sense if the seeds were similar, maybe the Ancients could've brought them from their home planet alongside the Emeralds

            Nate Morgan could've based his Ring Forge off some legend vaguely connected to the Ancients or maybe found a similar method by coincidence
