    I have a question? Since Tommy was dead. (I still can't figure out if he was dead the whole book or just when Dream used that magic arrow) what is the in story reason for Tommy turning into a raccoon hybrid.

      I definitely can’t answer the hybrid question BUT it seems like Tommy was dead the entire book as the very first chapter references butterflies as one lands on his nose while Herobrine is washing his hair in the lava - so he never met Herobrine, never made it to the Nether. He died before he even could.

      It’s a headcanon of mine that Tommy always wanted to be a hybrid like Philza and Technoblade, so lady death was granting his wish to make him happy in death
