The crush on Cho thing started in the third book somewhat but it was more "pretty Ravenclaw seeker uses her looks to try to catch Harry off guard during a Quidditch match." Which was apparently enough for Harry to spend the entire fourth and about half the fifth book crushing massively on her, asking her to be his date to the ball despite knowing she has a boyfriend in the form of Cedric, and ignoring the clearly available Hermione who is right there and was literally waiting outside the classroom for him after Harry was told that, as a champion, he needed a date for the ball. And, I will mention, Harry cut a date short with Cho because Hermione asked him to so the two of them could go and do something (granted it was an interview with Skeeter but still). As for Ron and Hermione, the fourth book involved him being angry and yelling at her during the ball (so in front of the entire 4th year on up student population plus two different foreign schools) and after the ball in the common room about Hermione going to the ball with Krum. I am just content to ignore the canon pairings for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is Rowling herself saying Ron/Hermione was merely wish fulfillment on her part. For this chapter I just took the pretty large subplot in the sixth book of "almost everyone wants to date Harry and Hermione says that he's never been more fancible" and kicked it up a few notches while throwing in absolute disrespect for his relationship with Hermione and pressing her common trauma buttons that you see in stories involving Harmony.
Hope they can resolve the things between them but i always thought why hermoine should strive so hard for the magical world when it clearly sees her as a second class citizen and every pureblood in slytherin calls her mudblood and even all she suffered in hogwarts by people calling her harlot and all during 4th year even molly didn't believe hermoine as a character in gof. If it were present generation people they would leave the wizard world of England and settle somewhere else where people show respect to her and harry should go along with her as people for one moment calls him hero or after sometime he is madman or liar such typical characters dont deserve these two gems.
