      After he hit Buck, people went back and watched season 1 again. They saw him completely differently.

      People were also tired of reading 'Maddie the perfect sister.'

      I didn't realise people felt this way until I started this fic.

      I was sure I was going to get complaints, but nope, not a single one. I think it's why I don't consider it bashing. Because everyone could see the characters doing these things. I only push them a little our of the zone they are written it.

      But the comments were interesting to read on different platforms.

        I know what u mean after the who Chimney hitting Buck thing i had to go and rewatch it from the beginning as I think its been there just hiding

          A lot of people agreed, the jokes were to mean, there was a hard edge to the comments. Why was it just Buck's past mistakes being brought up and laughed about. The SA on Buck by Wells, that was just bad writing. Who looks at that and goes 'great joke.' Oh the people on Wonder Woman 84 when she has sex with Steve in that guys body.

          In Teen Wolf its wheen Scott tells Derek maybe his family deserved to die.

          In NCIS it's when Tony is walking around trying to get voice prints to find a bomber who had killed people. Tim and Ziva were his back up. It's not quite clear either they told Tony they turned him off, or they actually did because they were tired of hearing his voice. Things like this and the Wells thing, you think, 'why did you think this would be a good idea?' Multiple people thought it was, why?

          What did the writers see, where the fans went that's horrible. Why did they write this?

          But after the punch there were a lot more anti Chim fics. Clearly it proved people were on the fence and then went 'nope.'

          This idea came before that. It was to show that they weren't perfect and with a little tweak could be completely different people.

          Maddie's issues were more easily dealt with if you wanted to put her in a more positive light. It's therapy, accepting boundaries, not dating Chim straight away and stopping the jokes. Her also apologising and not telling stories that make her look perfect.

          Chim is more difficult especially as he comes across as a bully and harassing people. Also being nice to Buck because he wanted Maddie. Knowing she was being chased and got out of a horrible relationship. Did he say I'll be your friend, I'll help you get help. No he zoned in on an emotional fragile woman who was terrified.

          Just on paper it looks ridiculous

            I agree with everything u just said and I'm so glad that I'm not the only one and when I started my stories I was actually surprised that there was so many people who feel the same way that I do and especially Maddie and Chimney and how the writers are always making Buck the joke and I honestly think who the hell is approving this stuff but as I said I am glad I'm not the one and I look forward to more of your stories
