      I'm just. That is a Digimon pulled straight from my brain at age 14, oversimplified design traits and all. I feel like I somehow won one of those "create your own Digimon contests" and somehow forgot about it until they actually canonized her design ages later. O_O

      Sadly, I almost certainly can't use Ariemon in this fic; it's already too heavily planned out for that. At best she's gonna get relegated to an omake (which I still haven't found a good way to post on AO3, so that'll probably be localized to the Spacebattles and Sufficient Velocity story threads). But it is fun that I started this fic, and suddenly we're getting multiple mega/ultra level fish women mon either visually or explicitly related to Ranamon, whereas I expected her to be completed ignored by Bandai onward into perpetuity. Not that I'm complaining. Maybe if I update they'll release Ranamon's depowered form next? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

          Mmm, it could, but it doesn't look *meant* for her the way Ariemon does, nor in the same way Flamon/Strabimon are for their respective spirits. Appreciate the link though, I didn't know what that new fish rookie was called. (OuO)b
