I cannot explain how much I love coming back to this fic time and time again for the emotional pain. It's so beautiful to see and experience. Poor Akira! It's awful how much abuse he has to suffer. Like, why can't everyone just leave him alone? And just, no one ever gives him a break! Not his school, not his classmates, or his own parents. I love your description of his panic attacks and flashbacks, the way he disassociates. It's so heartbreaking.
I love how much his friends care about him, too. It was really sweet how much they miss him, and how devastating it was for them once they finally knew what was going on.
