Oh wow! I am seriously impressed by the amount of research/background watching you must have done for this: the level of detail is amazing! Well done.
The story itself is brilliant, too: I love the little bittersweet touch of Scott missing out on the Olympics, and Gordon's reaction to him being on the water. And the tension...having read it in one go, it really had me on the edge of my seat.
