    I think people also r like "well technically zeus put him there, so the god are the ones keeping him stuck there" and I think zeus did send him there under the impression that Calypso would never let him leave. And there's specific word choice in the muscial, "7 years SHES kept you trapped out of your control." And later in dangerous "So you're the one who talked to calypso." Signifying that Hermes had to order calypso to let him go. If it was just the magic of the island keep him there (not controlled by calypso) i feel like as soon as zeus ordered it, ody would be swimming to Ithaca.

    But yea, the calypso shit is probably the only thing I would change in a later adaptation of epic. And not even change it really, but like give more context on to what EXACTLY happened on Ogyia.
