Oh I'm so glad I finally got around to reading this, as it has been sitting in my TBR list for months. It was so good. I liked the twist of Lip getting the bipolar instead of Ian, Fiona going to jail and Ian having to step up. It makes so much sense for him, given how he is always taking care of people. Kudos, kudos!
Thanks, in my little shortlist of canon “what if…” scenarios, I always thought it would be narratively more interesting for Lip to have that “This is it. This is where I land,” moment that Ian has in season 6. He has further to fall and he doesn’t have the same sense of motivation that Ian has. I figured pairing him mostly with Mickey under those circumstances would make for an interesting dynamic.
