Something tells me Otho and his wife are going to have a talk later that a customer is a customer regardless of whatever one's personal feelings are. They may be better off than a lot of the Seam, but they still need to do business. (Though I also get the feeling the man is definitely helping his son with his crush a little bit.)
Well, I see we're getting Gale context next chapter. I half wonder whether Finnick might bring up that if Katniss really likes Peeta, it might be better off to let her go than keeping her close and having her potentially become a target if Gale rebels. His family is already in the line of fire; she could still distance herself from him and be safe at this point.
Funny omake on idea on President Snow being briefed on Gale losing the love triangle and going "Well, at least one of those girls had taste."
Poor Otho picked one of the worst possible partners in Panem, in my opinion. But, I try to comfort myself, and everyone with the fact that I have a plan, and hopefully by the end of it Otho is getting some happyness. And yes, you are perfectly right: Otho is a total shipper when it comes to Peeta and Katniss.
As for Finnick he tries his best with Gale, because Finnick is cool and kind like that, but how will Gale react to that, will remain a mistery. And ih my god, I see I'm actually agree with Snow on something, send help please.😂
