That introduction scene is probably one of my favorite scenes in the movie and it always makes me laugh when I watch it, so I definitely wanted to include it; I'm glad you think I did all of the awkwardness, embarassment and humor from it justice! (Fun fact, I actually looked up what the wheel thing was for this fic and, apparently, it was nothing. The movie's prop team called it "doohickey gift" and the official novelization doesn't offer anything specific, either. Jasmine was on-point when she called it an "expensive"; that's pretty much all it is, lmao.)
(I also kind of wanted to mirror Agnes' second-hand embarassment at Wanda's meeting with the neighborhood council in episode two, so I'm glad you think it was on brand for her XD)
