Description:

In a world where demons form contracts with special humans, Emissaries, to help give them balance in life, a group of young Emissaries struggle with the special demons they are bonded to, while their Lords learn to adjust to having them in their lives. Meanwhile, Shirō deals with having THE trickster demon as his Lord.

Also known as that weird AU where everything is both better and worse, Satan isn't evil, Lucifer is sane, and the Illuminati aren't a threat. Not to mention Rin and Yukio are actually heading towards their two thousandth birthday.

Things aren't all roses and sunshine though, not with a cast of character like this.

(Don't expect regular updates because the author is a lazy bum and more distractable than a ferret on sugar.)

Notes:

Terms:

Contract: The bond between a specific class (Human/Noble Type) of demons and a chosen human. Through this bond the human gains an enhanced, healthier life and the ability to gain special powers during Spiritus Aestus. The demon loses the risk of going berserk and can exist in Assiah without undue pressure on the environment or their own body.

Lord: The demon half of a Contract. Can enhance their Emissary through a Spiritus Aestus. Tends to get possessive about their Emissary.

Emissary: The human half of a Contract. Acts as the anchor and moral compass for their Lord. Tends to not get married due to the above possessiveness from the Lord.

Spiritus Aestus: “Spirit Tide”, the ability/technique of the Lord to send power down the bond to their Emissary, temporarily enhancing their power and natural abilities within battle. Consider it something of a Limit Break.

Berserk: The greatest nightmare for a Noble Type demon. The loss of control and sanity, an increased amount of energy that damages both the surroundings, other people, and even their own body, leading to death.

True Cross Order: A world-wide organization, akin to Interpol except they handle demon related crimes and monitor the Lord/Emissary Contractors. Something of a cross between a police force and pest control at times.
