Summary
Sometimes Captain America wishes the war was over. Behind that blue uniform is a small guy from Brooklyn who just wants to try his best to make the world right. But between beating up Nazis, risking his life, and rescuing prisoners of war, there's a yearning for a happy personal life. Peggy sees it in his eyes. She sees that soldiers aren't made with serums, they're birthed in the fires of war. Bucky sees it too. All three see the pain and yearning in each-other. But one day, they know they'll try and find the time. To laugh. To live. To love. To be together. Even if the world doesn't want them to be.
