Summary
Year 843.
Yesterday, Erwin's body rattled with death. Today, fate reunites him with an old friend. Tomorrow, he falls in love with his friend's daughter.
Two years before the fall of Wall Maria, Erwin discovers a group of clandestine engineers outside the walls. He is entrusted with a prodigious secret: the invention of aeroplanes. He takes them under the Scouting Legion's wing, promising shelter from the Military Police's surveillance and the King's tyrannical underworld. Along the way, he soon finds himself bewitched by a young engineer named Lyor.
But unfortunately, even for Erwin Smith, not everything always goes according to plan.
