Summary
“And why would I listen to you, devil scum?” the man says, disgust obvious in his voice as his gaze travels up and down Molly’s body, taking in the piercings, tattoos, and intricately decorated coat that adorn his lavender figure.
Caleb shivers as he feels Mollymauk press up along the length of his back, warmth seeping through his thin shirt. Molly nuzzles his face in the crook of Caleb’s neck, and Caleb can feel the vibrations of his voice as he speaks. “Because he’s already taken.”

His eyes are dry now, his tears having run dry. Maybe that’s for the best, though. Mollymauk nover once struck Caleb as the kind of man who would want to be cried over; he struck Caleb as a person who would want their memory to live on in the actions of others. Caleb raises his chin, staring at the coat as it sways in the wind. A lone raven flutters down, perching on the top, and it tilts his head at him curiously.
