Description:

Against all expectations, Crown Prince Minhyun meets and befriends kitchen orphan Jonghyun at the young age of five. Jonghyun doesn't understand Minhyun's attachment to him, but is glad to have a friend in the palace.

As they grow older, they each face various tribulations from court life and politics.

Side note: Was doing a bit of research and found that Peach Blossoms are the royal flower of Korean royalty in the Joseon era? Someone tell me if that's not true. Though Jonghyun is also associated with peaches, so that actually fits pretty well.

Notes:

This entire series is going to be complete self-indulgence and I'm not even going to pretend this is meant to be a work of art or something. This stemmed from a single idea that I wanted to write about, which is currently slated to be Part 6? 8? I'll change that here when I actually get to it and it gets written.

I am literally going to make up my own civilization here. It will be a mix of what looks and sounds like Korean, Chinese, and Japanese (and possibly other unnamed) cultures and history. Also, there will be a strange amalgamation of eastern and western references every now and then. Just very shallowly. For certain purposes. You’ll get what I mean.
