Description:

A series of one-shots crossing over with both Band of Brothers TV miniseries and book covering the span of Captain America: The First Avenger. With a great humble respect to the members of the 506th PIR, 82nd Airborne, 101st Airborne and other units that fought in World War II in both European and Pacific Theatres, I will try to be as accurate as possible (while continuing with the CA:TFA narrative).

Notes:

Series Dedication:
This is dedicated to both of my late grandfathers, whom were involved in the Pacific Theatre of the war (not fighting for the U.S. but involved in the resistance against enemy occupational forces nonetheless). It is also dedicated to my beta reader Legume Shadow who insisted I watch Band of Brothers (out of order because Eugene “Doc” Roe is her favorite so we started with Ep. 6, “Bastogne”). The final dedication goes to the servicemen and women who have sacrificed so much for their country that we may have a better future.

Series:

Bandages (even a Super Soldier needs 'em)
As soon as Foy was taken in mid-January 1945, the Howling Commandos made their move on the HYDRA outpost nearby. The outpost destroyed, they retreated back to Foy, but encountered resistance. Featuring 5th Technician Eugene “Doc” Roe from E Company.

USO (how to not be a chorus girl)
The Commandos arrive to coordinate an attack with the battalion on Foy. Featuring very defensive and protective Bucky Barnes and Steve learning how to dig a proper foxhole with advice from Dog Company's Lt. Speirs.

Jump Wings (you have to earn them otherwise, you're just a Replacement)
Steve had his jump wings, but he wasn't considered a part of the 2d Battalion until he proved that he could jump with the best of them. To the members of Easy Company, he was just a Replacement, super soldier or not.

The Fallen (how Steve tried to cope with Bucky's death)
The 2d Battalion was called to help hold off the swarm of Germans chasing after the Commandos and their prisoner of war, Dr. Zola in early February 1945. In that, they discover that Bucky Barnes died in that mission. Featuring Captain Winters and a frank talk with Captain Rogers.

What We Sacrifice (for the best of us)
Major Winters learns at the end of February 1945 that Captain America made the ultimate sacrifice to stop HYDRA and the Red Skull. A few days later in March, the world learns of Captain America's fate.
