Summary
As a child, Arthur grew up with tales of the hero Cú Chulainn. Tales of fury, tales of love, tales of tragedy. He fell in love with the stories in time, growing to admire and stoke a fire to become something just as great. He doesn't expect to ever meet the demigod. He lived in a time before his own and was something of a bedtime story. A wistful dream he would fall asleep to. He'd ask Merlin to tell him the stories when he would sneak away with his friend to ignore the duties of King. He doesn't think that there is one he has not heard. At least, he thought that there hadn't been until he'd joined the Battleground of the Gods and met the man in person. As it would turn out, the stories were much better from Cú Chulainn's lips.
OR: Arthur just wants to show Cú Chulainn what love feels like.

Summary
There were times that Cú Chulainn just needed to get his teeth knocked around and his ass beat. With all of the anger stored in his body, he needed an outlet- and sometimes, he wasn’t keen on channeling that pent up rage into violence done unto another person. Sometimes, he just wanted to feel pain and absorb it into his body to let it simmer into a boiling serenity. Luckily enough for him, he had a God of War more than willing to fulfill that task.
OR: Godslayer Ares fucks Cú Chulainn stupid.

Summary
How he'd ended up here, he wasn't actually sure. One moment, he was out on the Siege battlefield, pushing lane against Da Ji and Achilles, and the next, his titan was slain and he was being claimed as the victors' prize. Which, in all honesty, wasn't truly a punishment when all of these Gods and Goddesses were gorgeous in their own rights. His team had already returned to their respective pantheons, leaving him at the mercy of Susano, Da Ji, Bellona, and Achilles. But fuck if it didn't feel good when hands were suddenly on him, stripping him of his armor and his weapon, tying his wrists together behind his back. He wasn't sure which of them was behind him now, all he knew was that he was slowly becoming desperate for whatever "punishment" it was that the four were planning.

Summary
She has watched him conquer and prevail for many years- he is not born of her pantheon, but there is something undeniable in the strength of the mighty Sétanta. She watched, enamored by his victories. She could not tell you why she was so transfixed by a man not of her own birthright. She just knew that there was something special about this individual. And so, she continued to watch over him and his feats, unknowingly granting him strength that should not have been his own. Perhaps it was this that allowed him to fend off an entire army on his own at seventeen or perhaps it was the divine blood that flowed within his veins, bestowed upon him at conception by way of who his father was; it did not matter. Sétanta was a force to be reckoned with. An impenetrable wall, a ferocious berseker.

Summary
He likes her because she’s curious. He likes her because she’s not disrespectful in her questioning. He’s caught off-guard when she asks a certain question though. “Would you like to see your family again?”
He pauses at that. He doesn’t really have a definitive answer. He has much shame surrounding his late family. He killed his own son and watched his adoptive son perish in grief. He watched his wife, Emer, pass on from the Heavens long after he’d been killed. He’d killed his best friend and lover, Ferdiad: forced to fight against his friend to protect Ulster. “If they woul’ see me,” He settles for.
OR: Persephone enters the Battlegrounds and very quickly starts to make friends and enemies. Cú Chulainn finds that he would prefer to call himself her friend.

Summary
“Arthur,” he starts, “do ya wan’ to fuck Aphro?”
Arthur chokes on air and makes a series of unintelligible sounds as his face turns red (Cú Chulainn isn’t sure if it’s from embarrassment or if his heartbeat hasn’t evened out yet). “Wha- What gives you that idea? I want to fuck you?” It’s a question and a half and Cú Chulainn can’t help but to snort dismissively at that.
“Migh’ jus’ be the way ya stare at her tits, love.”
OR: Aphrodite always gets what she wants in the end.

Summary
She never intended to pick up a new best friend when Cú Chulainn joined the Battlegrounds. She was quite content with just Bellona. Everyone else either hated her or only wanted to fuck her and she was fine with that. It worked out in her favor, usually. She either got laid or she could use her annoying demeanor to distract in matches. It was familiar and it was fun and it was safe.
OR: Aphrodite isn't very well-liked, but Cú Chulainn thinks she's worth it anyways.

Summary
“I get what I want,” He tells him at the start of the match, a haughty smile on pretty lips. There’s something about him that reminds him of the warrior queen Medb. It’s as infuriating as it is enticing and Cú Chulainn doesn’t know whether he should feel angry or nostalgic. He doesn’t like Tsukuyomi— he’s arrogant and so pious, but he’s beautiful and terrifying all the same. Amaterasu warns him about her brother and former husband. Don’t trust him, she says. He doesn’t know what took place between them, doesn’t really understand their relationship to begin with, but he trusts Amaterasu’s judgement.
