Summary
Catherine Miller, still reeling in the wake of her father’s recent death, decides to put her life as a writer on hold as she sets out to piece together the legacy he left behind and the secrets he kept buried. In a search for answers that spans the globe she reaches out to the few people she has left, enlisting the help of David and a mysterious ex-Diamond Dog as she returns to her roots in Africa in the hopes of finishing what her parents started. It isn't long before she becomes entangled in the web of mercenary business, breaking the very promise she had made to her father years prior as her priorities begin to shift and her hunger for revenge begins to take hold.

Summary
The rapidly-growing PMC known as Coyote Killer fights the rise of corruption and anarchy that has gripped Africa, establishing themselves as a driving force for the common people in the fight to retain control over a world in turmoil. At the helm of the organization is Commander Catherine “Coyote” Miller. While Coyote Killer mercenaries continue to use force to quell the surge in chaos, Catherine herself has chosen to toss aside her blood-soaked combat gear in an attempt to win the people over with diplomacy and attempts to establish peace and stability. Ocelot’s lingering influence fights her every step of the way, but she manages to find a powerful ally in the innovative Tetra Synthetic, an organization paving the way with the conventional use of nanomachines to remedy the rise of genetic diseases and infertility that have suddenly begun to plague society.
In a new era of warfare, Catherine struggles to keep her sights on the vision of the future that her parents had so desperately hoped they could provide for her. The hope of that future coming to fruition slowly dies as Catherine grapples with powerful feelings and potent fears that have only just begun to reveal themselves.
