Summary
In the summer of 1998, right at the peak of their notoriety in the world of thieves, brothers Sam and Nathan Drake, together with Victor Sullivan, are hired at the behest of Victor’s old friend to retrieve a stolen million-dollar Rembrandt painting in exchange for a handsome reward. They set out to London to do the job where they are joined by Darcy Kingsley, a tenacious art history student with an unlikely talent for hacking computers who happens to be after the same masterpiece. Nate and Victor are glad to have Darcy around, except there’s one little problem: Sam and Darcy cannot stand each other.
However, as their search quickly escalates to a dangerous turn and they are catapulted to far-flung places, so does the tension rise between Sam and Darcy. Forced to work together and set aside their differences, Sam soon learns that maybe, he doesn’t really quite hate Darcy. And maybe, Darcy doesn’t hate him, either. And with this job being far more complicated than they anticipated, little does Sam know that what awaits him at the end of this hunt is not just a fortune of a lifetime, but a choice that will alter his entire life.

Summary
Sam Drake and Victor Sullivan, both thriving in their unlikely partnership, accept an offer from a mysterious benefactor who hires them to recover a fabled ancient artifact of a medieval Welsh king. The task is close to impossible considering an old adversary of Victor—a ruthless Hermetic secret society with a new and equally ruthless leader at that—makes a dangerous comeback and is out for their heads.
