Peter has to take like twenty pictures before he arranges himself just right in the frame and sends it off to Quentin. When his phone buzzes he gets a noncommittal nice and Peter stares at the phone for a few moments because he’s kind of pissed, actually. When Quent sends him a picture he’s supposed to fawn all over him but he gets nice with no punctuation?
He stews on that for ahile, texting the group chat back and forth about it while he does math homework. He just wants to know, for science as MJ helpfully put it, if someone else would actually give him a half way decent response. Not that that’s hard when your competition is nice, no punctuation. Its not like he’s really considering it much when he scrolls through his contact list so maybe that’s why he lingers over Tony Stark’s name.

Peter looks adorable in flannel pajama pants and a baggy shirt that says ‘I survived New York.’ His hair is messy and he looks younger than he is but it’s a good look or maybe Tony’s just a little in love. Its way too soon for that kind of thing but he’s never really been known for doing anything small so its not like he’s surprised at all by his feelings, even if he’s not about to admit them.
“So um. I'm grounded,” he says, curling his knees up to his chest.

Tony knows he’s not really any good at this and he’s like ninety percent sure May hates him. Not that he hasn’t given her good reason to, but still. So he takes a deep breath and knocks on her door hoping she doesn’t immediately kick him out or something. When she answers the door she mostly looks annoyed and confused, which is better than outright pissed so he figures he’ll take it.

Tony has his face pressed into Peter’s neck, scenting him softly and its sweet how needy he is but he has other concerns. “I’m pretty sure Rhodey hates me,” he murmurs, kissing the top of Tony’s head.
Tony places a small kiss on his neck, “baby, he doesn’t hate you. He’s just overprotective. He’ll thaw eventually, its not like Carol and Maria don’t like you.”
