Summary
The light from the single candle danced in Maeve’s golden eyes as she smirked, and turned around, her top in her hands. “Hi.” She chuckled softly as she tossed her top to the ground. Alistair thought to himself he would never tire of hearing that laugh and seeing the one dimple she had appear when she smiled at him. Her eyes seemed warmer, more otherworldly in the low light of the tent. Maeve took a few steps forward, her pale hand reaching out to take Alistair’s darker one. Her pleased smirk morphing in a warm, comforting grin as she gazed up at him. Their eyes were locked on each other, soaking in the rare moment alone.

Summary
Written for the #14dalovers prompt for "Napping"
While pregnant with her first child and sequestered in Skyhold, Maeve has been putting up a protest at being made to feel like a prisoner in her own home. Cullen and Alistair are forced to put their feet down about the matter with Maeve's closest friends and family, and then attempt to calm the nerves of the exhausted mother-to-be.
"Placing the parchment on the table, Alistair took a step back so he was standing next to Cullen. They were an intematding pair, there was no doubt about that. Both men were broad and larger than many of their counterparts. Alistair stood slightly taller than Cullen and was near as broad. Though he was thinner, he was far from a small man. He tugged down his deep brown leather jerkin as he pondered what he should say in that moment. With a long deep breath, his arms now crossed in the same defensive stance. For a moment he could spy the smirk playing on Leliana’s lips seeing him match Cullen’s stance and expression. “I agree, we cannot dictate her every movement. I like to think I know my Sparrow well enough that keeping her in a cage like that is going to drive her to break out. In the middle of the night.”

Maeve (OC Inquisitor) attempts to make dinner with disastrous results, her partners Cullen and Alistair, are quick to reassure her that there is more important things than being able to cook!
The two men sat across the table. Each out of their armor and in simple tunics, trying their best to act like they were excited by the food before each of them. A single bowl of fairly solid stew in front of each man. Alistair had a spoon in his like he was about to take a bite then stopped to look up at Maeve, hands folding in front of her flour dusted apron. Her long dark hair falling from the messy bun she had thrown it up in. “Go on…” Maeve urged nervously.

@Well-seasons-dragon-age on tumblr posted a list 100 foof (fluff) prompts and one of them was "I'm Pregnant" and I thought it would be the perfect time to explore what happens when Maeve figures out that she is pregnant while returning to the surface during the Descent DLC time frame. Post-Main game/Canon Divergent AU
"Maeve hung towards the back of the group, she was exhausted. Physically and mentally. More than she had been in the weeks prior. Now, in the span of the handful of days, every time their party passed a decaying Darkspwan corpse (which was more often than she had ever expected) she felt her stomach churn, twist and heave. Such a feeling washed over her, though this time there were no corpses of note in sight. "
