Description:

As a person with non-visible disabilities myself, it struck me that Remus Lupin's situation in The Prisoner of Azkaban was one of a person with a disability who had no legal rights, even though the Wolfsbane Potion made it possible for him to be accommodated. My feeling that this was wrong, and for Remus as a marginalized person, led to my writing this series. Hermione’s interest in social justice, including her telling Remus she disagreed with the segregation of werewolves, led to her part in the second work in my series. The series is also feminist and questions the condescending treatment of Muggles.

Sensitive readers need not be put off by my choice not to use archive warnings. In Full Moon some major characters die when they died in the original series, since the story is mainly canon compliant. Their death is not depicted, so a warning is probably not necessary, but I wasn't 100% sure. In Fairyfyre there is some brief non-graphic description of violent pornography, probably not needing a warning, but again I was not 100% sure. Anyone who reads my stories hoping for gory violence or kinky sex because I chose not to use archive warnings is likely to be disappointed.
