Summary
Dean doesn’t understand how it’s possible. He takes incredibly good care of his baby. She doesn’t die on the roadside. She just doesn’t. He keeps her fluids topped up and replaces everything at the right intervals and he knows every sound she makes; every click and every bang and every whirr and buzz and roar and grumble and as far as he can tell, not a single thing has been out of place with his baby at any point in the last few weeks. She’s at least a month away from needing an oil change at the rate he’s been driving, and the carburetor was just rebuilt last year and there’s no cracks in the head gasket and the spark plugs are new and there’s no way this side of hell there’s anything gone wrong with the electrical so why is he stalled on the side of a back road?

Summary
Castiel wants to fly the moment he hears Dean call, but he hesitates. He thinks about delaying; it won’t do to let Dean get the idea that he can summon Castiel whenever the mood takes him, won’t do to let him think Castiel is at his beck and call. But he dismisses the idea. He’s not doing anything important; he doesn’t have anywhere else to be. So he flies on swift wings and alights in the doorway of the third floor motel room where Dean lies sleeping. That’s the first shock, but he quickly recognizes the truth of the situation. Dean wasn’t praying to Castiel, wasn’t calling out to him for help or companionship or any of the thousand other reasons Dean had prayed to Castiel in past. He was dreaming of Castiel.

Summary
Dean would really rather not hunt by himself. He hates research, he hates digging up graves with no one to hold the flashlight. And when it's all over, the bones are burnt and he's washed the grave dirt out of his hair, well then he really doesn't want to be alone.

Summary
“I feel like we haven’t seen Cas in a while,” Sam points out casually. They’re drinking coffee in a diner, low winter sun casting pale light across the formica table top, and Dean had barely been paying attention until he heard the angel’s name dropped into the middle of an otherwise boring conversation. He almost challenges Sam’s assessment but then he realizes it’s true. Sam hasn’t seen Castiel in nearly a month. Dean’s seen him multiple times since then. He’s started showing up for no reason lately, or rather, no hunting related reason. They haven’t actually needed to call on him for help with anything in some time, but this thing they have going has Dean waiting for the shift in the air that signals the flapping of wings almost any time he’s alone lately. So instead he just shrugs and sips his coffee.

Summary
“You make a very nice Christmas present, Dean,” Cas intones as he loosens his tie enough to slip the loop of it off over his head. “So beautifully wrapped. It almost seems a shame to unwrap you.” Dean’s not sure what to say in response to that, so he says nothing. “Are you up for a challenge, Dean?” The way Castiel’s mouth caresses his name is sinful, making it sound profane and sultry in ways that no one else’s mouth ever has. He’s so wrapped up in it that he nearly forgets he’s been asked a question. He quirks a questioning eyebrow at Cas.
“What’s the challenge?” He asks, trying to keep his voice smug and aloof. What he really wants to say is whatever you fucking want, just tell me what to do.Series

Summary
Cas’ hand moves gracefully through the short strands of Dean’s hair before settling on the back of his neck. Yes, Dean is comfortable. So comfortable he could almost fall asleep. He shifts, preening under the attention, and Cas sighs. They could stay like this all night and Dean wouldn’t complain for a second. Except there’s a reason they’re lazily sprawled out on the bed, and there’s a reason Dean has barely moved in the past hour and a half.
