Summary
"Combeferre doesn’t even yawn when his alarm blares at 5am. By his side, Grantaire and Enjolras don’t stir at all. They’re not exactly fond of Combeferre’s early hospital shifts; none of them are, but they’re used to it by now. Still, after turning off the alarm as quickly as he can while his limbs are tangled with those of his sleeping lovers, Combeferre takes a long moment to breathe in — he always does this before he has to leave."
Combeferre has to go to work. Combeferre is completely, impossibly smitten.

Summary
“Bahorel knew, when he got to boxing class just as the storm started, that he would end up drenched that day. Yet, there is Jehan, on the sidewalk, a vision in garish colours, odd and contradicting patterns, holding a large, bright yellow umbrella over their head — and they are so damn lovely, Bahorel could kiss them.”
Bahorel and Jehan tell love poems to one another. They don’t use any words, the poems rhyme anyway.

Summary
"Enjolras opens his umbrella as soon as they leave the museum. It’s raining heavily, and the time it takes for him to battle with the broken latch is almost enough to soak them both. He sighs in relief when he finally holds it over Grantaire, immediately stepping closer to him on the steps of the museum. The bent umbrella rib is shaking in the strong wind, they get sprayed on their left, but it’s better than nothing."
Enjolras and Grantaire walk home in the rain, Enjolras doesn't mind squeezing tight.

Summary
"When he enters Café Musain precisely twenty-three minutes late for what must be the very first time in years, Grantaire approaches the back room almost sheepishly. He thinks idly of a time when late was his normal and punctuality was surprising, but this feels like another lifetime altogether. And today, when he silently pushes the door open, poking his head in, he is reminded why he doesn’t stroll in loudly anymore."
Les Amis de l'ABC meetings, 30 years down the line.

Summary
"Confusion was hardly a new feeling for Grantaire, but this time, Grantaire thought that he might have encountered the world’s greatest mystery. ‘World’ was a bit of a stretch, at the very least, but considering that Grantaire had let his own world revolve around Enjolras for long enough that he couldn’t remember it ever being heliocentric in the first place, it felt accurate enough. And that was it. The mystery. Enjolras. Namely, Enjolras’ recent change in behaviour."
Grantaire sucks at research. Enjolras wasn't researching, but he has the insight of a snail.
