Izuku roughly wipes the tears away, the soot on his gloves transferring to his face and making him grimace. He doesn’t pay it too much mind, though. Instead, he pushes himself to his feet, staring at the flames for a long moment before taking a deep breath. His clothes should be spelled enough to protect him from burning too badly but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s about to step into an inferno."
