Summary
That’s why, when Izuku realized he couldn’t pick up anything from Shouto, he felt a little uneasy. He couldn’t make out if he was being studied with genuine curiosity or disdain. He began to doubt if Shouto had stayed close, kept contact, to show he still cared or if he had decided this would be the last time. The last time he would indulge Izuku’s clinginess, his omitted lies and weakness, before leaving.

Maybe he worried over something deeper, something haunting that medical attention or the prospect of Eri’s rewind would never be able to scab over.
