Summary
Life is like a dream; one can always take a hold of it and mold it to their desires and likings if they’re able. But, yet, one place seems to transcend that of a dream, an almost ethereal place where the lights dance with the shadows and the smells waltz along with the sounds filling the air. The people there are fae-like, inviting you to stay, fill your empty stomach to the brim, and rest your weary head until you’re ready to depart again.
You just so happen to stumble into their realm and cross paths with a gentle giant enjoying a simple break from the chaotic world outside. The fae snap to you and say, their features overflowing with joy and immeasurable energy:
“Another hungry night owl! Take a seat, darling, and we’ll fix whatever you like up!"
You stepped into a diner at 2 a.m.

Summary
In the dark confines of one’s own mind, no one but you can hear the calls of the sirens tirelessly trying to lure you to topple over the edge of sanity. At the top of the mountain, only you can see how the sun refuses to break past the fog that blocks your path back down.
One figure stands taller than the mountain top and speaks louder than the sirens’ calls without a single word. Your sturdy guide, the wall that erects itself when you teeter on the edge and stops your descent with a gentle hold.
You don’t want to let go of this feeling, but you wish it didn’t have to come with the baggage.
