Summary
Charles and Erik met in Haifa, Israel, sometime in the late 1950s, or early 1960s. Charles had come to Haifa as a favor to a friend running a hospital. He ended up staying longer than he'd expected to. Something was out of place about the volunteer orderly with the shock white hair and the fake name, who Charles immediately gravitated towards.
There isn't much known about their time together there; except that they both realized they weren't alone; and the rest is history.

Summary
A night out and a night in, very early into the long history of Charles F. Xavier and Erik M. Lehnsherr.
"I don't," he said, and flicked his lighter. "Not habitually, at any rate. These were a gift, from someone who couldn't afford my services."
Those clever eyes rolled to the heavens. Erik lit the cigarette, puffed in cautiously, found the taste unappealing but the warmth rather enjoyable. "I might have known," said Charles, and his gaze fell back on Erik's with the full weight of implication: "You never do anything for pleasure."Series

Summary
"I'm not happy with this situation," Erik said, finally shifting himself to lie on his back. "I never will be. Nothing about this is satisfying. But the alternative is worse."
Charles looked at him. The moonlight made his hair bright; so striking was the effect that Charles was certain if he put his hand above it, he'd catch a reflected moonbeam against his skin. His arms were folded behind his head, cushioning it, and his expression was a practiced frustration.
"Yes," Charles said, trying to imagine cutting ties with Erik for good. "The alternative is worse."

Summary
The Two-Body Problem refers to the no-win scenario among couples, particularly in academia, in which both partners are pursuing careers. Because of the necessity of distance between academic institutions, the outcomes are that the relationship will falter, or that one or the other will give up pursuing their career in order to maintain the relationship. The creators of the two-body problem, however, clearly weren't mutants. They neglected to think of the astral plane.
Or, Charles and Erik finally start "communicating" again during the early days of the X-Men, and they're either excellent at it or terrible.

Summary
Charles' dying wish was that Magneto take care of the New Mutants. Erik promised him, but now he has to actually go through with it, and something is toying with his emotions. One mad idea, borne of a little too much of Charles' Scotch, might be so desperate as to actually work. Call it training wheels.
"Oh, and Charles?" Erik called back, hand on the door out of the Danger Room. Charles looked up, mildly surprised. "No one thinks I'm your fucking cousin."
