“You felt for him,” Uma said.
Audrey was going to assure her that she knew Gil didn’t see her that way. That although her heart had tripped over his kindness, she was aware that it was just that.
“Gil may seem like rainbows and candy but behind closed doors, he’s gunpowder and fire” Uma warned her.
But instead of giving up, her mind was tempted to that possibility. How it would feel to be held in Gil’s arms. For him to look at her as if she were everything he wanted. She wondered if Gil would kiss her and show the same enthusiasm in that as in so many other things.

“It’s ready.” She announced and looked at Harry “No weapons on the table.”
“Whatever you say, Your Highness.” The pirate rolled his eyes and hung his hook on his belt and rested his sword in his lap.
“Play nice, Hook.” Uma warned, approaching the table, and looking at the delicate cups “Something festive, don't you think?”
Gil approached eagerly and looked at the table. His smile widened when he saw the Christmas cakes, gingerbread cookies, yule log, and a mint tea surrounding the atmosphere.
“It’s beautiful.” Gil sighed just looking at everything.
Audrey found herself in Gil's arms, lifted off her seat. Well, it had been worth wasting a few hours of sleep preparing all that.

She stopped. Audrey had finally found her shirt, so she slowly pressed it against her chest. Meanwhile, Gil sat up in bed and she almost had a small heart attack. The same daylight that had disturbed her dream now illuminated Gil's hair and fell to his broad shoulders. Big arms. Oh, her boyfriend was huge. All muscle. How was it possible to have such an adorable face and such an imposing body?
“Good Morning?” She swallowed even though her voice was hoarse.
“Where are you going?” Gil dropped his head on his shoulder and rubbed his eyes.
